Chief of Naval Operations Adm. Gary Roughead announced the following flag officer assignments:
Rear Adm. John W. Miller is being assigned as commander, Carrier Strike Group Eleven, San Diego, Calif. Miller is currently serving as deputy director, plans and policy, J5B, U.S. Central Command, MacDill Air Force Base, Fla.
Rear Adm. Brian C. Prindle is being assigned as director, Assessment Division, N81, OPNAV, Washington, D.C. Prindle is currently serving as commander, Patrol and Reconnaissance Group, Norfolk, Va.
Rear Adm. (lower half) Thomas P. Meek is being assigned as director of intelligence, J2, U.S. Southern Command, Miami, Fla. Meek is currently serving as deputy director for customer relationships, Signals Intelligence Directorate, National Security Agency, Fort Meade, Md.
Rear Adm. (lower half) Kurt W. Tidd is being assigned as commander, Carrier Strike Group Eight, Norfolk, Va. Tidd is currently serving as director, strategic capabilities policy, National Security Council, Washington, D.C.
