General Officer Assignments

          The Air Force chief of staff announces the assignment of the following general officers:
 
          Maj. Gen. Kevin J. Kennedy, director, Air Component Coordination Element, Air Combat Command, Kabul, Afghanistan, to director, requirements and integration, J-8, Headquarters U.S. Joint Forces Command, Norfolk, Va.
 
         Maj. Gen. Robertus C. N. Remkes, director, plans and policy, J-5, Headquarters U.S. European Command, Stuttgart-Vaihingen, Germany, to director, Air Component Coordination Element, Air Combat Command, Kabul, Afghanistan.
 
          Brig. Gen. Paul G. Schafer, who has been selected for the rank of major general, director, special programs, Office of the Under Secretary of Defense for Acquisition, Technology and Logistics, Pentagon, Washington, D.C., to director, plans and policy, J-5, Headquarters U.S. European Command, Stuttgart-Vaihingen, Germany.
 
         Brig. Gen. Clyde D. Moore II, commander, 478th Aeronautical Systems Wing, Aeronautical Systems Center, Air Force Materiel Command, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio, to director, special programs, Office of the Under Secretary of Defense for Acquisition, Technology and Logistics, Pentagon, Washington, D.C.
 
         Brig. Gen. Stanley E. Clarke III, deputy director, Air National Guard, National Guard Bureau, Arlington, Va., to military assistant deputy chief of staff, strategic plans and programs, Headquarters U.S. Air Force, Pentagon, Washington, D.C.
 
         Brig. Gen. Noel T. Jones, commander, 56th Fighter Wing, Air Education and Training Command, Luke Air Force Base, Ariz., to deputy chief, Central Security Service, National Security Agency, Fort Meade, Md.
