FLAG OFFICER ANNOUNCEMENT
Secretary of Defense William S. Cohen announced today
that the President has nominated Rear Adm. Lee F. Gunn, U.S.
Navy, for appointment to the grade of vice admiral and assignment
as Inspector General, Department of the Navy in Washington, D.C.
Rear Adm. Gunn is currently serving as assistant deputy chief of
naval operations, manpower and personnel, office of the chief of
naval operations and deputy chief of naval personnel in
Arlington, Va.
Rear Adm. Gunn was born Feb. 20, 1942 in Pontiac,
Mich.
