General Officer Assignments

The Army chief of staff announces the assignments of the following officers:

Brig. Gen. Arthur M. Bartell, deputy commanding general, XVIII Airborne Corps and Fort Bragg, Fort Bragg, N.C., to commanding general, U.S. Army Cadet Command, Fort Monroe, Va.
 
Brig. Gen. Gregg F. Martin, commandant, U.S. Army Engineer School/deputy commanding general, concepts, doctrine and organizations, Fort Leonard Wood, Mo., to commanding general, U.S. Army Maneuver Support Center and Fort Leonard Wood, Fort Leonard Wood, Mo.
 
Brig. Gen. John W. Nicholson Jr., deputy director for operations, National Military Command Center, J-3,Joint Staff, Washington, D.C., to deputy commander for Stabilization, Regional Command South, International Security Assistance Force, North Atlantic Treaty Organization, Afghanistan.
 
Brig. Gen.Kurt J. Stein, assistant chief of staff, C-4/J-4, U.N.
