GENERAL OFFICER ANNOUNCEMENT
Secretary of Defense William S. Cohen announced today that
the President has nominated Maj. Gen. Stewart E. Cranston, U. S.
Air Force, for appointment to the grade of lieutenant general
with assignment as vice commander, Air Force Materiel Command,
Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio.
Cranston is currently
assigned as commander, Air Force Development Test Center, Air
Force Materiel Command, Eglin Air Force Base, Fla.
Cranston was born May 24, 1944, in Watertown, S. D.
