GENERAL OFFICER ANNOUNCEMENT
Secretary of Defense William S. Cohen announced today that
he has approved the appointment of Lt. Gen. Ervin J. Rokke, U. S.
Air Force, on the retired list in the grade of lieutenant general
effective July 1, 1997.
Rokke is currently serving as the
president, National Defense University, Fort Lesley J. McNair,
Washington, D.C.
Rokke was born Dec. 12, 1939, in Warren, Minn.
