General Officer Announcement
Secretary of Defense Robert M. Gates announced today that the President made the following nomination:
Air Force Lt. Gen. William L. Shelton for appointment to the rank of lieutenant general with assignment as vice chief of staff and director, Air Staff, U.S. Air Force, Pentagon, Washington, D.C. Shelton is currently serving as chief, Warfighting Integration and chief, Information Officer, Office of the Secretary of the Air Force, Pentagon, Washington, D.C. |
