                The Department of Defense announced today the death of three soldiers who were supporting Operation Enduring Freedom.  They died June 1 in Nerkh, Afghanistan, of wounds suffered when an improvised explosive device detonated near their vehicle.  They were assigned to the 2^nd Battalion, 87^th Infantry Regiment, 3^rd Brigade Combat Team, 10^th Mountain Division (Light Infantry) Fort Drum, N.Y.

                Killed were:

                Staff Sgt. Jeffrey A. Hall, 28, of Huntsville, Ala.

                Pfc. Matthew D. Ogden, 33, of Corpus Christi, Texas.

                Pfc. Matthew W. Wilson, 19, of Miller, Mo.
