General Officer Assignments

The Air Force chief of staff announces the assignment of the following general officers:

 

Maj. Gen. Richard E. Webber, assistant deputy chief of staff, operations, plans and requirements, Headquarters, U.S. Air Force, Pentagon, Washington, D.C., to commander, 24th Air Force, Air Force Space Command, Peterson Air Force Base, Colo.

 

Maj. Gen. Johnny A. Weida, deputy chief of staff, U.N. Command and U.S. Forces Korea, U.S. Army Garrison Yongsan, South Korea, to assistant deputy chief of staff, operations, plans and  requirements, Headquarters, U.S. Air Force, Pentagon,Washington, D.C.

 

Brig. Gen. Lawrence L. Wells, director, who has been selected for the rank of major general, warfighter systems integration and deployment, Office of Warfighting Integration and chief information officer, Office of the Secretary of the Air Force, Pentagon, Washington, D.C., to deputy chief of staff, U.N. Command and U.S. Forces Korea, U.S. Army Garrison Yongsan, South Korea.

 

Brig. Gen. William J. Bender, commander, 86th Airlift Wing and Kaiserslautern Military Community Commander, U.S. Air Forces in Europe, Ramstein Air Base, Germany, to director, warfighter systems integration and deployment, Office of Warfighting Integration and chief information officer, Office of the Secretary of the Air Force, Pentagon, Washington, D.C.

 

Brig. Gen. Jeffrey G. Lofgren, vice commander, First Air Force, Air Combat Command, Tyndall Air Force Base, Fla., to deputy director, operations, J-3, Headquarters U.S. Northern Command, Peterson Air Force Base, Colo.

 

Brig. Gen. Thomas J. Trask, director, plans, programs, requirements and assessments, Headquarters Air Force Special Operations Command, Hurlburt Field, Fla., to deputy director, Theater Plans and Synchronization Element, Headquarters U.S. Central Command, MacDill AFB, Fla.

 

Col. Mark C. Dillon who has been selected for the rank of brigadier general, commander, 60th Air Mobility Wing, Air Mobility Command, Travis Air Force Base, Calif., to commander, 86th Airlift Wing and Kaiserslautern Military Community Commander, U.S. States Air Forces in Europe, Ramstein Air Base, Germany.
