                The Department of Defense announced today the death of a sailor who was supporting Operation Enduring Freedom and maritime security operations in the Fifth Fleet area of responsibility.

                Command Master Chief  Petty Officer Jeffrey J. Garber, 43, of Hemingford, Neb. died of non-hostile causes June 20 aboard the USS Dwight D. Eisenhower in the North Arabian Sea. 

                The incident is under investigation.
