The Department of Defense's World Wide Web site devoted to the Gulf War illness issues, GulfLINK, now has a new address and improved search capability. Changes took effect Monday, completing the improvements promised earlier this year by Bernard Rostker, special assistant for Gulf War illnesses.
GulfLINK's new address is www.gulflink.osd.mil. People typing in GulfLINK's old address will be automatically forwarded to the new address.
Prior to Monday, GulfLINK featured only one search engine which was difficult to find and sometimes difficult to use. A link to the new search capability is now featured prominently on the opening page. Visitors may now choose among three search engines or use all three simultaneously. Detailed instructions for advanced searching are also available.
Previous improvements made to GulfLINK include e-mail capability, a more user-friendly design, a frequently asked questions section, an event calendar, and feature articles.
