Secretary of Defense Robert M. Gates announced today that the President has made the following nomination:
Navy Rear Adm. William R. Burke has been nominated for appointment to the rank of vice admiral and assignment as deputy chief of naval operations for fleet readiness and logistics, N4, Office of the Chief of Naval Operations, Pentagon, Washington, D.C.
