GENERAL OFFICER ANNOUNCEMENT
Secretary of Defense William S. Cohen announced today that the President has nominated Maj. Gen. William H. Campbell, U.S. Army, for appointment to the grade of lieutenant general and assignment as director of Information Systems for Command, Control, Communications and Computers, U.S. Army, Washington, D.C. Since July 1995, he has served as the program executive officer, Command, Control and Communication Systems, Fort Monmouth, N.J.
Campbell was born on Jan. 5, 1940, in Appleton, Wis.
