                Secretary of Defense Robert M. Gates announced the following Department of Defense Senior Executive Service appointment:

                Michael J. Scionti has been appointed to the Senior Executive Service and is assigned as deputy assistant secretary of defense for intergovernmental affairs and homeland defense, Office of the Assistant Secretary of Defense (Legislative Affairs), Washington, D.C.  Scionti previously served as a member of the Florida House of Representatives in Tampa, Fla.
