General Officer Assignments
The chief of staff, Army announced today the following assignments:
Maj. Gen. James M. McDonald, deputy commander, Multi-National Security Transition Command-Iraq/director, Security Agreement Secretariat, U.S. Forces-Iraq, to deputy chief of staff, strategic operations (C-3), U.S. Forces-Iraq, Operation Iraqi Freedom, Iraq.
Maj. Gen. David E. Quantock, deputy commanding general (detainee operations)/commanding general, Task Force 134, U.S. Forces-Iraq, to commanding general, U.S. Army Maneuver Support Center of Excellence and Fort Leonard Wood, Fort Leonard Wood, Mo.
Brig. Gen. William E. Buckler Jr., U.S. Army Reserve, deputy commander, 412th Theater Engineer Command, Vicksburg, Miss./assistant chief of staff, engineer, Eighth U.S. Army, Korea, to J-7, director, engineering, U.S. Forces-Afghanistan, Operation Enduring Freedom, Afghanistan. |
