GENERAL OFFICER ANNOUNCEMENT
Secretary of Defense William S. Cohen announced today that the President has nominated Maj. Gen. Lance W. Lord, United States Air Force, for appointment to the grade of lieutenant general with assignment as vice commander, Air Force Space Command, Peterson AFB, Colo. Lord is currently assigned as commander, Second Air Force, Air Education and Training Command, Keesler AFB, Miss.
Lord was born July 12, 1946, in Philadelphia, Pa.
