GENERAL OFFICER ANNOUNCEMENT
Secretary of Defense William S. Cohen announced today that the President has nominated Maj. Gen. Robert H. Foglesong, United States Air Force, for appointment to the grade of lieutenant general with assignment as assistant to the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Joint Staff, Pentagon, Washington, D.C. Foglesong is currently assigned as deputy director, Politico-Military Affairs, J-5, Joint Staff, Pentagon, Washington, D.C.
Foglesong was born July 13, 1945, in Williamson, W.Va.
