General Officer Announcement
Secretary of Defense Robert M. Gates announced today that the President has made the following nomination:
Air Force Brig. Gen. Alfred J. Stewart has been nominated for appointment to the rank of major general. Stewart is currently serving as the commander, Air Force Recruiting Service, Headquarters Air Education and Training Command, Randolph Air Force Base, Texas.
