General Officer Announcement
Secretary of Defense Robert M. Gates announced today that the President has made the following nomination:
Army Maj. Gen. Howard B. Bromberg has been nominated for appointment to the rank of lieutenant general and assignment as the deputy commanding general/chief of staff, U.S. Army Forces Command, Fort McPherson, Ga. Bromberg most recently served as the senior commander for Fort Bliss, Fort Bliss, Texas.
