GENERAL OFFICER ANNOUNCEMENT
Secretary of Defense William S. Cohen announced today that the President has nominated Lt. Gen. John A. Gordon, United States Air Force, for appointment to the grade of general with assignment as deputy director, Central Intelligence Agency, Washington, D.C.
Gordon is currently assigned as associate director of central intelligence for military support, Central Intelligence Agency, Washington, D.C.
Gordon was born Aug. 22, 1946 in Jefferson City, Mo.
