General Officer Announcement
Secretary of Defense Robert M. Gates announced today that the President has nominated Army Chaplain Brig. Gen. Donald L. Rutherford for the promotion to the rank of major general and assignment as chief of chaplains, U.S. Army, Washington, D.C. Rutherford is currently serving as deputy chief of chaplains, U.S. Army, Washington, D.C.
