General Officer Announcement
Secretary of Defense Robert Gates announced today that the President has nominated Army Lt. Gen. David M. Rodriguez for appointment to the rank of general and assignment as commanding general, U.S. Army Forces Command, Fort McPherson, Ga. Rodriguez is currently serving as commander, International Security Assistance Force Joint Command/deputy commander, U.S. Forces-Afghanistan, Operation Enduring Freedom, Afghanistan.
