FLAG OFFICER ANNOUNCEMENT
Secretary of Defense William S. Cohen announced today that the President has nominated Vice Adm. Donald L. Pilling, U.S. Navy, for appointment to the grade of admiral with assignment as vice chief of naval operations, the Pentagon, Washington, D.C. Pilling is currently serving as deputy chief of naval operations, resources, warfare requirements and assessments, N8, Office of the Chief of Naval Operations, the Pentagon, Washington, D.C.
Pilling was born June 4, 1943, in New York, N.Y.
