EXERCISE BRIGHT STAR 98
Members of the U.S. Central Command's Army, Air Force, Navy, Marine and special operations components, and members of the Air and Army National Guard, will conduct a joint/combined coalition tactical air, ground, naval and special operations forces field training exercise with Egyptian and select forces from other coalition nations in Egypt.
Bright Star 98, the ninth in the series, is scheduled to take place Oct. 12 through Nov. 3, 1997. This exercise is intended to improve readiness and interoperability between U.S., Egyptian and coalition forces.
