General Officer Announcements

               The chief of staff, Air Force announced today the following assignments:

               Maj. Gen. John D. Posner, deputy commander, Combined Air Operations Center 7, Component Command-Air Izmir, Allied Command Operations, North Atlantic Treaty Organization, Larissa, Greece, to director, global power programs, Office of the Assistant Secretary of the Air Force for Acquisition, Pentagon, Washington, D.C.

                Maj. Gen. Mark W. Graper, assistant deputy commander, U.S. Air Forces Central Command, and assistant vice commander, 9th Air Expeditionary Task Force, Air Combat Command, Shaw Air Force Base, S.C., to deputy commander, Combined Air Operations Center 7, Component Command-Air Izmir, Allied Command Operations, North Atlantic Treaty Organization, Larissa, Greece

               Brig. Gen. Jeffrey L. Sharpy, who has been selected for the rank of brigadier general, director, Air Force General Officer Management, deputy chief of staff, manpower, personnel and services, Headquarters U.S. Air Force, Pentagon, Washington, D.C., to director, plans, programs and analyses, Headquarters U.S. Air Forces in Europe, Ramstein Air Base, Germany

            Maj. Gen. Thomas K. Andersen, director of requirements, Headquarters Air Combat Command, Langley Air Force Base, Va., to commander, Curtis E. LeMay Center for Doctrine Development and Education, and vice commander, Air University, Air Education and Training Command, Maxwell Air Force Base, Ala.

            Maj. Gen. Michael R. Boera, director, plans and programs, Headquarters Air Combat Command, Joint Base Langley-Eustis, Va., to director of requirements, Headquarters Air Combat Command, Joint Base Langley-Eustis, Va.

            Col. Peter E. Gersten, who has been selected for the rank of brigadier general, commander, 432d Wing and 432d Air Expeditionary Wing, Air Combat Command, Creech Air Force Base, Nev., to director, plans and programs, Headquarters Air Combat Command, Joint Base Langley-Eustis, Va.
