General Officer Announcements
Secretary of Defense Robert M. Gates announced today that the President has made the following nominations:
Army Brig. Gen. Stephen L. Jones has been nominated for appointment to the grade of major general. Jones is currently serving as deputy commander, Joint Task Force - National Capital Region Medical, Bethesda, Md.
Army Brig. Gen. Richard W. Thomas has been nominated for appointment to the grade of major general. Thomas is currently serving as assistant surgeon general for force projection, Office of The Surgeon General, U.S. Army, Washington, D.C.
