Flag Officer Announcement
Secretary of the Navy Ray Mabus and Chief of Naval Operations Adm. Gary Roughead announced today the following assignments:
Rear Adm. Townsend G. Alexander will be assigned as commander, Navy Region Mid Atlantic, Norfolk, Va. Alexander is currently serving as commander, Navy Region Southeast, Jacksonville, Fla.
Rear Adm. Mark F. Heinrich will be assigned as commander, Naval Supply Systems Command/chief of Supply Corps, Mechanicsburg, Pa. Heinrich is currently serving as commander, Fleet and Industrial Supply Centers, San Diego, Calif.
