General Officer Announcement
Secretary of Defense Robert M. Gates announced today that the President has made the following nomination:
Army Maj. Gen. John F. Campbell, for appointment to the rank of lieutenant general and for assignment as deputy chief of staff, G-3/5/7, U.S. Army. Campbell is currently serving as commanding general, 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault), Fort Campbell, Ky.
