FLAG OFFICER ANNOUNCEMENT
Secretary of Defense William S. Cohen announced today that the President has nominated Rear Adm. Michael L. Bowman, U.S. Navy, for appointment to the grade of vice admiral and assignment as commander naval air force, U.S. Pacific Fleet in San Diego, Calif. Bowman is currently serving as chief of naval air training in Corpus Christi, Texas.
Bowman was born June 27, 1943 in Saint Joseph, Mo.
