GENERAL OFFICER ANNOUNCEMENT
Secretary of Defense William S. Cohen announced today that the President has nominated Lt. Gen. Frank B. Campbell, United States Air Force, for reappointment to the grade of lieutenant general with assignment as director, force structure, resources and assessment, J-8, The Joint Staff, Pentagon, Washington D.C. Campbell is currently serving as the commander, Twelfth Air Force, Air Component Command; commander, United States Southern Command Air Forces; and Air Force component commander, United States Strategic Command, Davis-Monthan, Ariz.
Campbell was born July 17, 1944, in Conway, S.C.
