General Officer Announcement
Secretary of Defense Leon E. Panetta announced today that the President has made the following nomination:
Army Col. Jimmie O. Keenan for appointment to the rank of major general and for assignment as chief, Army Nurse Corps. Keenan is currently serving as commander, U.S. Army Medical Activity, Fort Carson, Colo.
