General Officer Announcements

            The chief of staff, Army announced today the following assignments: 

            Maj. Gen. Jeffrey S. Buchanan to deputy commanding general, 1st Corps and Joint Base Lewis McChord, Joint Base Lewis McChord, Wash.  He most recently served as director, J-9, United States Forces-Iraq. 

            Maj. Gen. Anthony A. Cucolo III, director, force development, G-8, U.S. Army, Washington, D.C., to commandant, U.S. Army War College, Carlisle Barracks, Pa. 

            Maj. Gen. Patrick J. Donahue II, director, concept development and learning, Army Capabilities Integration Center, Joint Base Langley-Eustis, Va., to director, force development, G-8, U.S. Army, Washington, D.C. 

            Maj. Gen. Walter M. Golden Jr., deputy commander for police, North Atlantic Treaty Organization Training Mission-Afghanistan to deputy commanding general, 8th U.S. Army, Korea. 

            Maj. Gen. Frederick S. Rudesheim, deputy director for joint and coalition warfighting, J-7, Joint Staff, Suffolk, Va., to commanding general, U.S. Army South, Fort Sam Houston, Texas. 

            Brig. Gen. Bradley A. Becker, deputy commanding general (Support), 25th Infantry Division, Schofield Barracks, Hawaii, to assistant deputy director for joint training, J-7, Joint Staff, Suffolk, Va. 

            Brig. Gen. David J. Bishop, chief of staff, 3rd Army/U.S. Army Central Command, Shaw Air Force Base, S.C., to assistant surgeon general for warrior care and transition/commanding general, Warrior Transition Command, Office of the Director of the Army Staff, Alexandria, Va.
