Secretary of Defense Leon E. Panetta announced today that the President has made the following nominations:
Army Lt. Gen. Donald M. Campbell Jr., for reappointment to the rank of lieutenant general and for assignment as commanding general, U.S. Army Europe and Seventh Army, Germany. Campbell is currently serving as commanding general, III Corps and Fort Hood, Fort Hood, Texas.
Army Maj. Gen. James O. Barclay III, for appointment to the rank of lieutenant general and for assignment as deputy chief of staff, G-8, U.S. Army, Washington, D.C. Barclay is currently serving as assistant deputy chief of staff, G-3/5/7, U.S. Army, Washington, D.C.
