Secretary of Defense Leon E. Panetta announced today that the President has made the following nominations:
Navy Vice Adm. John M. Richardson for appointment to the rank of admiral and for assignment as director, Naval Nuclear Propulsion Program, Department of the Navy/Department of Energy, Washington, D.C. Richardson is currently serving as commander, Submarine Force, U.S. Atlantic Fleet and commander, Allied Submarine Command, Norfolk, Va.
Navy Rear Adm. David A. Dunaway for appointment to the rank of vice admiral and for assignment as commander, Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Md. Dunaway is currently serving as commander, Operational Test and Evaluation Force, Norfolk, Va.
