General Officer Announcement
Secretary of Defense Leon E. Panetta announced today that the President has made the following nomination:
Marine Corps Reserve Brig. Gen. Paul W. Brier for appointment to the rank of major general. Brier is currently serving as the vice commander, U. S. Marine Corps Forces Command, Norfolk, Va.
