GENERAL OFFICER ANNOUNCEMENT
Secretary of Defense William S. Cohen announced today that the President has nominated Lt. Gen. Terrence R. Dake, U.S. Marine Corps, for appointment to the grade of general and assignment as assistant commandant of the Marine Corps.
Dake is currently serving as the deputy chief of staff for aviation, Headquarters, U.S. Marine Corps, Washington, D.C.
Dake was born on July 22, 1944 in Omaha, Neb.
