GENERAL OFFICER ANNOUNCEMENT
Gen. Eugene E. Habiger, U.S. Air Force, has applied for retirement in the grade of general effective Aug. 1, 1998.
Habiger is currently serving as commander in chief, U.S. Strategic Command, Offutt AFB, Neb.
Gen. Habiger was born June 11, 1939, in Oakland, Calif.
