FLAG OFFICER ANNOUNCEMENT
Secretary of Defense William S. Cohen announced today that the President has nominated Rear Adm. George P. Nanos Jr., U.S. Navy, for appointment to the grade of vice admiral and assignment as commander, Naval Sea Systems Command in Arlington, Va.
Nanos is currently serving as direct reporting manager for Strategic Systems Programs in Arlington, Va.
Nanos was born April 11, 1945, in Torrington, Conn.
