GENERAL OFFICER ANNOUNCEMENT
Secretary of Defense William S. Cohen announced today that the President has nominated Maj. Gen. Walter S. Hogle Jr., United States Air Force, for appointment to the grade of lieutenant general with assignment as vice commander, Air Mobility Command.
Hogle is currently serving as the director, plans and programs, Headquarters Air Mobility Command, Scott Air Force Base, Ill.
Hogle was born Nov. 14, 1944 in Mt. Kisco, N.Y.
