GENERAL OFFICER ANNOUNCEMENT
Secretary of Defense William S. Cohen announced today that the President has nominated Maj. Gen. Gregory S. Martin, United States Air Force, for appointment to the grade of lieutenant general with assignment as principal deputy assistant secretary of the Air Force for acquisition, Department of the Air Force, Pentagon, Washington, D.C.
Martin is currently serving as director, operational requirements, deputy chief of staff, air and space operations, Headquarters United States Air Force, Pentagon, Washington, D.C.
Martin was born April 24, 1948, at Fort Myer, Virginia.
