FLAG OFFICER ANNOUNCEMENT
Secretary of Defense William S. Cohen announced today that the President has nominated Rear Adm. Dennis V. McGinn, U.S. Navy, for appointment to the grade of vice admiral and assignment as commander, Third Fleet in San Diego, Calif.
McGinn is currently serving as director, Air Warfare Division, N88, office of the Chief of Naval Operations, Washington, D.C.
McGinn was born Aug. 26, 1945 in Attleboro, Mass.
