FLAG OFFICER ANNOUNCEMENT
Secretary of Defense William S. Cohen announced today that the President has nominated Vice Adm. Thomas B. Fargo, U.S. Navy, for reappointment to the grade of vice admiral and assignment as deputy chief of Naval Operations for Plans, Policy and Operations N3/N5, office of the Chief of Naval Operations, Washington, D.C.
Fargo is currently serving as commander, U.S. Naval Forces, Central Command and commander, Fifth Fleet in Bahrain.
Fargo was born June 13, 1948 in San Diego, Calif.
