FLAG OFFICER ANNOUNCEMENT
Secretary of Defense William S. Cohen announced today that the President has nominated Rear Adm. Edward Moore Jr., U.S. Navy, for appointment to the grade of vice admiral and assignment as commander, Naval Surface Force, U.S. Pacific Fleet in San Diego, Calif. Moore is currently serving as assistant deputy chief of naval operations for Plans, Policy, and Operations, N3/N5B, Office of the Chief of Naval Operations, the Pentagon, Washington, D.C.
Moore was born Feb. 18, 1945, New York City, N.Y.
