GENERAL OFFICER ANNOUNCEMENT
Secretary of Defense William S. Cohen announced today that the President has nominated Lt. Gen. John N. Abrams, United States Army, for appointment to the grade of general and assignment as commanding general, U.S. Army Training and Doctrine Command, Fort Monroe, Va. Abrams is currently serving as the deputy commanding general, U.S. Army Training and Doctrine Fort Monroe, Va.
Abrams was born on Sept. 3, 1946, Fort Knox, Ky.
