GENERAL OFFICER ANNOUNCEMENT
Secretary of Defense William S. Cohen announced today that the President has nominated Maj. Gen. David H. Ohle, U.S. Army, for appointment to the grade of lieutenant general and assignment as deputy chief of staff for Personnel, U.S. Army, Washington, D.C. Since July 1997, he has served as the assistant deputy chief of staff for Personnel, Office of the Deputy Chief of Staff for Personnel, U.S. Army, Washington, D.C.
Ohle was born in Youngstown, Ohio on Oct. 16, 1944.
