GENERAL OFFICER ANNOUNCEMENT
Secretary of Defense William S. Cohen announced today that the President has nominated Maj. Gen. Russell C. Davis, U.S. Air Force, for appointment to the grade of lieutenant general with assignment as chief, National Guard Bureau, Pentagon, Washington, D.C. Davis is currently assigned as vice chief, National Guard Bureau, Pentagon, Washington, D.C.
Davis was born Oct. 22, 1938, in Tuskegee, Ala.
