GENERAL OFFICER ANNOUNCEMENT
Secretary of Defense William S. Cohen announced today that the President has nominated Maj. Gen. Ronald E. Adams, U.S. Army, for appointment to the grade of lieutenant general and assignment as chief of staff/deputy commander, Land Forces Central Europe, Germany. Adams is currently serving as the assistant deputy chief of staff for Operations and Plans for Force Development, U.S. Army, Washington, D.C.
Adams was born on Dec. 28, 1943, Lancaster, Pa.
