FLAG OFFICER ANNOUNCEMENT
Secretary of Defense William S. Cohen announced today that the President has nominated Vice Adm. Vernon E. Clark, U.S. Navy, for reappointment to the grade of vice admiral with assignment as director, Joint Staff, the Pentagon, Washington, D.C. Clark is currently serving as director for operations, J-3, Joint Staff, the Pentagon, Washington, D.C.
Clark was born Sept. 7, 1944 in Sioux City, Iowa.
