GENERAL OFFICER ANNOUNCEMENT
Secretary of Defense William S. Cohen announced today that the President has nominated Lt. Gen. Randolph W. House, U.S. Army, for reappointment to the grade of lieutenant general and assignment as deputy commander in chief/chief of staff, United States Pacific Command, Camp H. M. Smith, Hawaii. House is currently serving as commanding general, Eighth United States Army/chief of staff, United Nations Command/Combined Forces Command/United States Forces Korea, Korea.
House was born on July 24, 1945, in Corpus Christi, Texas.
