GENERAL OFFICER ANNOUNCEMENT
Secretary of Defense William S. Cohen announced today that the President has nominated Lt. Gen. Thomas R. Case, U.S. Air Force, for re-appointment to the grade of lieutenant general with assignment as commander, Alaskan Command, U.S. Pacific Command; commander, Eleventh Air Force, Pacific Air Forces; and commander, Alaskan North American Defense Region, Elmendorf Air Force Base, Alaska.
Case is currently assigned as deputy commander in chief/chief of staff, U.S. Central Command, MacDill Air Force Base, Fla.
He was born Dec. 3, 1946, Baker, Oregon.
